IGE supports housebuilders, developers, local authorities and other partners across the UK on the full lifecycle of development and regeneration projects. This includes early-stage land due diligence, viability and planning through to construction and delivery across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, retail, education and health.
Its clients include Breck Homes, Persimmon, Bellway, Anwyl Homes, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Manchester City Council.
The company has promoted Angharad Jones to Associate Director. Angharad has more than 10 years’ experience in geo-environmental engineering and has been with IGE over eight years. She specialises in supporting safe and sustainable development at complex brownfield sites, including ground gas and mine risk assessment.
Her new role includes increased leadership of project direction, growing client relationships and mentoring other members of the IGE team.
Meanwhile, Alfie Leach has been promoted to Principal Geotechnical Engineer and James Harley to Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer.
Alfie has been with IGE almost eight years, joining shortly after completing a master’s degree in geology and earth science. His work involves unlocking barriers to development across residential, commercial and health sectors and his new role will include an increased focus on managing technically challenging projects through to completion.
James joined IGE as a graduate engineer in 2019 after completing a master’s degree in earth and environmental science. He has strong experience supervising large-scale investigations and is among a small number of professionals to hold a Gas Protection Verification (SGPV) accreditation. His promotion includes overall management of the validation aspect of IGE projects.
Andrew Edwards, director at IGE, said: “Since our launch in 2017, IGE has grown rapidly through our reputation for helping unlock complex barriers to land and supporting construction projects through to completion.
“That reputation is built on the expertise of our team and passion for the work they do. Angharad, Alfie and James have nearly 25 years’ combined experience with IGE – this deep knowledge of our sector and clients is vital to maintaining the highest possible standards as we continue to expand.
“Helping our team progress their careers with us is central to our ethos, as is providing opportunities to talented and passionate people to join us. We’re actively looking for further likeminded experts to join IGE and support our continued growth over the coming years.”
IGE employs 14 staff at its offices in central Manchester. The company operates across the UK, supporting clients with services including site investigation, land appraisal and development, geotechnical engineering and engineering geology and contaminated land services.
